St Martin

We arrived at Simson Bay, St Martin on the Dutch side, after what seemed like an exceptionally long 24 hour sail. It had been a rough ride and we were tired. The anchorage was extremely rolly and we couldnt even get the dinghy down to go check in. We decided to have an early dinner, go to bed and deal with it in the morning. The next morning we moved Taku to the other side of the island, the French side. Marigot Bay was Takus home for 2 weeks. It was great. Being a huge boating mecca Taku got lots of pretty new stuff. And being on the French side had its benefits. A good friend of ours reassured us that the French do not eat bad food, nor drink bad wine. She was right. We enjoyed excellent French wines, baguettes and amazing chocolate treats. It is time to leave and head further south. We left Marigot Bay this morning sailing alongside our good friends Rudy and Teresa on their boat Kopano. We should arrive at Guadeloupe tomorrow.
