It had been a rough ride and we were tired. The anchorage was extremely rolly and we couldn t even get the dinghy down to go check in. We decided to have an early dinner, go to bed and deal with it in the morning. The next morning we moved Taku to the other side of the island, the French side. Marigot Bay was Taku s home for 2 weeks. It was great. Being a huge boating mecca Taku got lots of pretty new stuff. And being on the French side had it s benefits. A good friend of ours reassured us that the French do not eat bad food, nor drink bad wine . She was right. We enjoyed excellent French wines, baguettes and amazing chocolate treats. It is time to leave and head further south. We left Marigot Bay this morning sailing alongside our good friends Rudy and Teresa on their boat Kopano . We should arrive at Guadeloupe tomorrow.Sailing TAKUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17215035989889949530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330759870913961469.post-53274294420822976342019-04-01T10:06:00.001-07:002019-04-01T10:06:11.539-07:00British virgin islands<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaHTkhMu039_lBMgQoVJZLw3uwR3PYD-vJ7zF8MghTRrjNoiHl-99zqlo9v-G9qiSX_ArxoYbHY5SRfVvhZM7GU7Lvg_NyJSTwvpWZ9PLC3C4Cwl2Qot4FPV-tcR4vjxq5PJqKIIfUiITN/s1600/1554137849340-771570.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaHTkhMu039_lBMgQoVJZLw3uwR3PYD-vJ7zF8MghTRrjNoiHl-99zqlo9v-G9qiSX_ArxoYbHY5SRfVvhZM7GU7Lvg_NyJSTwvpWZ9PLC3C4Cwl2Qot4FPV-tcR4vjxq5PJqKIIfUiITN/s320/1554137849340-771570.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_6674973480683317794" /></a></p>Anchored safely in Benures Bay, Norman s Island watching as rain squalls pass through the Sir Francis Drake channel by Tortola.Sailing TAKUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17215035989889949530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330759870913961469.post-61485321374825884492019-03-24T05:31:00.001-07:002019-03-24T05:31:55.219-07:00Watermelon Cay St. John s, USVI<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU7JhL399AJWeqvjUrIXA9XefHfqfz5crlTH4OYftR7JL3oKvrhqao7yyHxC1D3GyHJ12J4V5DEWjTjUIrWfSkyaPSh7LKErhEQfaGjZ0TSfempNnBTmPVtfPscy9at24ixVcdwMfoBAQO/s1600/1553428501223-715267.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU7JhL399AJWeqvjUrIXA9XefHfqfz5crlTH4OYftR7JL3oKvrhqao7yyHxC1D3GyHJ12J4V5DEWjTjUIrWfSkyaPSh7LKErhEQfaGjZ0TSfempNnBTmPVtfPscy9at24ixVcdwMfoBAQO/s320/1553428501223-715267.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_6671934119862394594" /></a></p>A climb up the hill gave us a beautiful view of Watermelon Cay, a sweet little snorkeling spot we are moored next to.Sailing TAKUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17215035989889949530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330759870913961469.post-44078550303124697332019-03-20T11:43:00.001-07:002019-03-20T11:43:55.579-07:00Anchored in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas USVI s<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8ihBqtCxfcQ1yWz6JpmbPmXHW2AJ_ng8mkg1VHW4znQY5jYwl1ukI6mmSzY3HXj1rvtrxJDf6600nFQA8cQDRhuMZmXQMHMKbAecIVzEA8AGtov9GKM5wZO9F54ZVMum6PmPLSW3pe6ix/s1600/1553106223953-735593.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8ihBqtCxfcQ1yWz6JpmbPmXHW2AJ_ng8mkg1VHW4znQY5jYwl1ukI6mmSzY3HXj1rvtrxJDf6600nFQA8cQDRhuMZmXQMHMKbAecIVzEA8AGtov9GKM5wZO9F54ZVMum6PmPLSW3pe6ix/s320/1553106223953-735593.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_6670545641012990178" /></a></p>We arrived in Charlotte Amalie, USVI, 6.5 days after leaving little San Salvador, Bahamas.
